The Not-So-Suah-Ku Traveller (Day 3 - Phuket)
I started the day with a punctured tyre....how nice huh...
luckily it's not a huge problem and i got the inner tubbing changed for $5.
the mechanic changing the tubbing for me. they use brute force instead of machineries...fierce.
a really cute girl at the bike shop...she pose for me somemore.
it was pretty relaxing for today and after lunch, we went back to hotel to sleep.
only until abt 6pm, we went to the beach area to catch the sunset.
the start of the sunset...
with the background so beautiful, having john by my side didn't really seem to matter...haha..
the sunset slowly develops into a burst of orange and purple.
this is worth every penny i spent to come to phuket.
watching the sunset with close friends makes it more enjoyable.
John, steve, carol and me.
we then went back to where we had our dinner last nite....the seafood place.
the food was pretty good that we ordered even more food today.
got fish, lobster, crab, shark's fin and many more dishes. but i was too hungry to actually take any pictures of the food. just whack only. haha
choosing our seafood.
we can never be far from seafood in thailand.

The Not-So-Suah-Ku Traveller (Day 2 - Phuket)
The problem with me when i am on holiday is that i tend to think about people back at home.
and that have left me $150 poorer. haha...but i don't mind because i know that when i bring these stuff back, i make people happy.
I woke up really early this morning to go for a little adventure around Patong beach.
Walked around the district and saw some interesting stuff.
I call this the pepsi fruit stand.
Many types of fruits....some i have never seen before.
I also went to the beach...Yes, where the tsunami is...but no tsunami jokes for me. because the destruction and devestation is very real!
The Andaman Sea behind me.
The view was breathtaking and i realised that there wasn't a slightest hint that a tsunami had occured.
Nice hor?
Beach chairs decked nicely...
Not my friend, just another tourist whom i asked to take a picture for me but he took a picture with me.
my slippers almost got swept out to sea while i was taking this shot. haha... i rescued them.
Maybe except for this sign and some other evacuation signs.
It points towards my hotel....i guess i am safe.
Walked around a little bit more and ended in astarfucks Starbucks for a frap, light breakfast and the newspapers.
my breakfast....
Went back to the hotel with all the stuff i bought. by the time i am back, i am sweating and hot.
their morning sun is as strong as their afternoon sun.
I told John that in Phuket, the sun is not a sun....it's a fucking FIREBALL. we are there not to be tanned but to be toasted.
well, but i like being toasted...so do Carol, Steve and John and we went for another tanning session by the poolside. And i was violated by john...
john looks naked!!
he is perverted and he rode me from my back and squeezed my tits like i am some kind of prostitute.
you can tell that john is the only one enjoying this....rite?
the 4 of us decided that our adventure shld go further than playing in the pool and we got changed and rented some bikes to explore more of the island.
Super old school helmet.
ridiculously silly.
it was fun riding...so convenient.
i tell you, riding in Singapore and in Thailand is a totally different story.
the roads here are really rough
people cut your lanes
the helmet they gave me are like shit...rock climbing kind of helmet. not suitable for riding.
and we don't need a license to ride...or rather John doesn't need a license to ride.
look ma, i am riding and sticking out my tongue at the same time!!
but it was really fun albeit it was dangerous.
We rode to visit the Kathu Waterfalls...and got lost trying to find it.
we asked a local there...but he shakes his head and we just thought he didn't know what we are saying.
we found the waterfall in the end....and boy....it was a huge disappointment when we climbed like hundreds of steps up to the top of the waterfall.
the climb up...see the shagged out face and we were only halfway up.
this is the top of the waterfall...haizzz.....or should i say the source of the water for the waterfall.
this picture sums it all up....of how i feel.
I am so not amused and swore to god that our Birdpark man-made waterfall made me more excited than this.
this is what they call a waterfall.... haven't they heard of the word unexciting??
I think back to the local shaking his head....
and 3 thoughts came to my mind.
1) He really didn't understand what the fuck alien language we were saying.
2) He must be telling us "Waterfall? No waterfall." (Pun intended for the puny Kathu Waterfalls)
3) Or he must be telling us you are fucking wasting your time up there.
Oh yah...thank you Mr. Local for the information that wasn't deciphered earlier until we saw the waterfall. haha.
then we when down to a really huge shopping mall called "Central Festival" to catch a movie, eat abit of ice cream and do a little bit of shopping. I ended up another $150 poorer.
it's SFX...not SEX Coliseum. very much like our cinema....but cheaper
ice cream....omg....occupational hazard.
but i conclude that BnJ ice cream is still the best.
we watched pirates 3 and i fell asleep halfway. i don't know how long i snoozed, probably about 10mins only.
Interestingly, before the movie started, they showed a video of the thai king and all of a sudden, everyone in the cinema stood up and kept quiet. like singing the national anthem like that.
That is how much the thais adore their king.
the movie lasted 3 freaking hours and i had a backache after that.
then we went for a scrumptious seafood dinner. the food was yummy. either that or the 4 of us were really hungry.
Huge lobster they have there. really fresh as well.
Their tiger prawns are huge...and it's ending up in my tummy soon. hahaha
i love seafood....
...especially when it's this fresh.
we had Stir fried beef.....
Black pepper crabs...
and our main dish....steamed lobsters....
and went back to hotel at 3am. What a day!!

The Not-So-Suah-Ku Traveller (Day 1 - Phuket)
I feel very suah ku today...to be taking a flight out of singapore.
I couldn't find my seat. I was like looking on the seats and the ground for seats no. just like what i usually do in cinemas.
but then, the seat nos. were like above the seats underneath the compartments where you put your hand carry luggages. haha...silly me.
There is one thing that i really like when i take the aeroplane. its the feeling of taking off. when the plane starts to "run", i like the feeling of being pinned back on my seat and when it took off, my heart will skip a beat.
To me, this is an incredible feeling that i always look forward to when taking a flight.
Really big pack of cigs....i can hug it to sleep when i am on the plane.
The flight was pretty smooth and the air stewardesses, as usual speaks with a funny accent that i don't really understand.
I am now in the Club Andaman Beach Resort and i am on very expensive internet. $5/hr hurts my pocket so i am like controlling my usage so i can buy more stuff back for all my friends.
Strangely, I am not excited about the trip, nor am i not excited about the trip...my last trip to tioman seems to leave a better impression.
perhaps some people that are suppose to be here are not here and maybe my heart was left back in singapore.
But since i am here, i will make the most out of it.
after breakfast snooze....to catch up on lost sleep.
my roomie john... has a funny sleeping pattern.
and i had already taken some really amazing pictures today, and had a good tan.
they told me i had a swimming pool view....maybe the thais and i have a little bit of miscommunication.
the sky from the balcony.
me from the balcony.
and i made a new friend here.
she is friendly.....
i love this shot....and it's a present for someone.
i tell you, this afternoon, the sky was C-L-O-U-D-L-E-S-S! i was on my beach chair for like 10 mins and i am sweating like i was in the suana for 1 hour.
after the tan, i have been sleeping in my room for hours. tanning makes me tired.
i haven't had my dinner and it's 9.30pm Thailand time. maybe later i will explore the streets and take more pictures.
saw some workers chopping trees the really old fashioned way.
i decided to try my hand at it....
i bearly made a scratch on the bark of the trunk...haha.
some other random pictures that i took...
i like the SLR effect even though i am using a normal camera.
signing off...blog again tomorrow.
