A very long update with no pun intended
Finally i have time and materials to update the blog...
1 mth ago, i wrote abt my bike with John sarcastically mocking me in my tag board.
thank you for your support John. heh.
anyway, within this one month that i have gone hiatus, many things did happen. To me that is.
it's really a great month for me as i have went on a fishing cum relaxing cum suntanning cum photography trip with my trusted buddies to tanjong pinang in indonesia.
it's like a "back to basics" trip. Why? because we are staying in a kelong and the experience is kinda amazing. amenities are pretty basic, food are pretty basic (wat i ate in the 3 days are fried rice, fried noodles and otah), and there is nothing glamourous abt staying in a kelong.
probably the thing i enjoyed most there was seeing my friends shitting and peeing the "alfresco" style. and then hearing KY shout: "oei, mister! your house got hole, water leaking!!" and embarrass my friend (or me) totally.
seeing is believing so pictures from my cam is up!
the sunrise at tenah merah ferry terminal...
i wonder if it's a new building or an old one...i just can't tell.
it's amazing how a small kup kia (name of that motorbike in the pic) can take 3 person.
it's even more amazing how it can take 4 and traveling at 60km/h. i must have that kinda mods on my bike.
i was actually trying to capture on my cam of 5 people on a kup kia. but i guess having 4 on one is already over the top.
these pineapples taste better than the fried noodles, and fried rice that i had.
firecrackers....haben been playing with those since my primary school days when i visited malaysia. even malaysia now bans firecrackers.
after an hour drive, we reached the kelong. excitedly, all of us turned trigger happy.

the entrance to the kelong...creepy even in the day.
the first thing i did upon reaching the kelong....i saw a tap and turned it on. i was pleasantly happy that the water that flowed out was clear and not murky.... and yah....this is wat i meant by "alfresco". every sewage goes into the sea. S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T DOWN the hole!

that's a sea hawk and it's their pet. it cries out like a cat purrs...
they also have squirrels in the kelong as pets. funny thing indos like exotic pets. dogs and cats are mainly treated as strays.

look at that clam!! its the biggest i have ever seen and we ate it raw. it cost only $5 for one. freaking cheap man. and it is yummy.
night falls and we started playing with firecrackers....super exciting! haha.
i had so much otah during the 3 days. no pun intended that i also became "otah-ed"
fishing for fishes....we caught a few over the 3 days.
my buddies soon got bored of fishing and they went kayaking.

the 3 days came and passed so quickly...it's just like sunsetting..
as the tide going down...
daniel is still not letting the pressure off the fishes...
i do wonder, if i grow old, will i get to enjoy life like him??
when i got back to sg, i started work the next day and was told that there will be an audit of the shop and service standards in the next 3 days.
in the end, we scored a 97/100... the highest in Singapore among all the b and j outlets.... freaking good achievement. i am so proud of my shop, my staff, and myself.
thank you girls for helping me to achieve this score. we did it with alot of determination, teamwork, and hardwork!

It's inevitable that i gotta let you go.
I am talking abt my old flame.
The one which i use to ride....
The one whom is sometimes unreliable....
i can still remember the few times when you broke down along the expressway when i am still dating and trying to win the heart of my missus....
i repaired you using my life savings of $700 but you are still so rusty.
i even remembered when you run out of petrol and both of us were stranded along a very deserted road. i wanted to just leave you there and not bother abt you anymore.
we even had a few minor accidents before..but all is well....
sometimes i even wondered if you are able to "transform"
no matter what, you will always be my first love.

You (all) make growing older so much more bearable
My birthday is over by one week now.
and it's like my birthday is celebrated over one week.
It's one of the most wonderful birthday i had in all my life.
I am a food lover by nature and the whole week, i have been eating and eating and eating.
not only eating but eating good food that i dun usually get to eat.
it's the best way to celebrate my birthday. always!
missus brought me to a jap restaurant at vivo city.
we reached there early and got a table with the sea view.
i was impressed with the decor of the place the moment i stepped into the restaurant. even the menu and the table decor is spared.
impressive...high standard.
the food they served is really gastronomical. it seriously is crazily good.
the maki is calling out for me to eat it.
their food presentation is also a thumbs up.
sashimi is one of my fav jap dishes. we reordered sashimi so many times.
king prawn with salad sauce...
tempura prawns, crispy and yummy....the seafood they served are generous and fresh.
if all these did not make you drool, i wonder what will....
and i forgot to mentioned, we had ala carte buffet...so you can order as much as you want.
the sky slowly darkens....and it's becoming really romantic for the 2 of us.
finally, the night falls and we took a walk along the walkways outside vivo city.
quality time spent with missus cannot be compromised.
the next day, we went to eat good food again....
this time it's at chomp chomp. a cheaper alternative of good food.
and of course not forgetting out favourite "king"
DURIANS...freshly opened.
On friday, my dad had some dinner function at a restaurant in bukit merah...
so the whole family went there except my sister who had to do her homework.
it's eat eat eat again. it's delicious albeit it's middle class food.
no complains man.
and yesterday....
i had a little celebration with my brothers. we ate zhi char at a kopitiam.
it's been a while since all of us sat together to talk cock sing song. it was a good night for all of us.
Thank you all for being there to grow old with me. with you guys around, it's makes growing older so much more bearable.

Hope i can set up my ride soon.

Fireworks Fest '07
I went to watch the fireworks festival at marina bay. The pictures will speak for itself.
my first pepper lunch. nice to eat but really not value for money.
it was people mountain people sea...seriously a huge crowd and gf and me don't like crowds.
we manage to find an open space near to the floating platform which is not too crowded and can get a not too bad view of the fireworks....damn the trees...
i love my camera....just showing off my camera's zooming function and i love this picture.
the fireworks started after a 1 hr wait...i will just let the pictures awe you.
I took more than 300 shots of the fireworks alone...
Fireworks are simply magical.....my third fireworks fest...and it's getting better and better everytime.
And watching it with my one love adds value to it this year.
I didn't manage to say it to you under those fireworks and hopefully this makes up to it..
